Veteran Korean singer Ivy is emjpying her fifth year in the Korean music industy, and now she is to embark on a new path in her quest for Kpop stardom. Ivy is set to star in a musical "Kiss Me Kate" which is scheduled to run from July 9th to august 14th at the National Theatre.
Theatre officials felt that this would be a great way for Ivy to display her acting as well as her singing talents. "Kiss Me Kate" is a play based upon the work of Shakespeare "The taming of the shrew" and first debuted in Korea in 2001 to packed audiences. Since then, the musical has won Directors award and the Best Actress Award in the 8th annual Musical Awards. Korean singer Ivy has already taken photos for the musical poster with fellow castmates Nam Gyeong Joo, choi Jeong Weon and Ha Ji Deung.
